Parade Entry Form

The Indian Land Christmas Parade WELCOMES YOU TO PARTICIPATE. 
Please complete the entry form.  The deadline for the application is December 3. Participants and vehicles must arrive at the formation area by 3:00 pm. Participants are reminded this is a family oriented event and any person(s) not abiding by the rules will be taken out of the parade.

IN MAKING DECISIONS ABOUT PARTICIPANTS, The Indian Land Christmas Parade CONSIDERS WHETHER PROSPECTIVE ENTRIES :
  • Represent the best the region has to offer, such as health, sports, entertainment, the arts, and innovation 
  • Exemplify the region's wide cultural diversity 
  • Present an attractive, cohesive, coordinated group appearance 
  • ​Add to the Parade's overall entertainment value
 
ILCPO reserves the right to refuse entries that may be disruptive, overly loud or unruly or lack a theme, cause, or family-friendly message.

MARCHING BANDS:
The parade organizers are seeking marching bands to participate in the parade. This category is specific to school marching bands that may also include flag corps, dancers, majorettes, rifles, letter girls and pompom girls. Marching bands will be judged for 1st, 2nd or 3rd place scholarship money!  Judges will be looking for the band that can entertain and excite spectators all while having fun!  Be as creative as you like.  You’ll have up to three (3) minutes to stop and wow the judges, then continue the parade.   The winners will be announced at the Tree Lighting Ceremony, and posted on our website.  ILCPO will award up to $500 for 1st place, $375 for 2nd place and $250 for 3rd place.

Non Float Entries: 
This category includes any units that are motorized or comprised of walkers and offers an excellent opportunity to let your creativity show. Entries included in this category may include, but are not limited to:


  • "Specialty vehicles," such as antique cars, fire engines, carriages, race cars, etc.
  • ​Car and motorcycle clubs
  • Community organizations or neighborhood groups
  • Talent able to perform while walking (jugglers, stilt walkers, etc.)
  • Dogs and other tame animals accompanied by human handlers. Handlers are required to clean up any animal waste that occurs during staging, route and disband areas.
  • Decorated Golf Carts
  • Saddled horses are allowed in the parade.
