FORMATION AREA: Entrants for the Indian Land Christmas Parade will lineup on the west end of River Road just past the main entrance to the Indian Land High School beginning at 1:30 PM. Entrants (vehicles, floats and trailers) are encouraged to access River Road through Sun City off Van Wyck Road. Follow Sun City Boulevard for approximately 2.0 miles to Dovekie Lane. Make a left onto Dovekie Lane and follow for approximately 0.3 miles to the River Road Back Gate Entrance.


Parade Route: The parade will start just past the main entrance to the Indian Land High School, proceed down the school service road, behind the high and middle schools, ending in Indian Elementary School bus parking lot. Please complete the form in full and sign below.

The deadline for the application is December 6, 2019. Participants and vehicles must arrive at the formation area described above by 1:30 pm on December 14th. Upon arriving on-site check in to receive place assignment. Each entry will be given an assigned place in the parade and must remain without change. NO ALCOHOL or anyone consuming alcohol will be permitted in the parade. Any person driving any vehicle in the parade must do so in an orderly and safe manner and be a licensed driver for that type of vehicle. A safe distance must be maintained between entries at all times. This is a family oriented event and any person(s) not abiding by the rules will be taken out of the parade.

 

NO ENTRIES ARE PERMITTED TO HAVE A SANTA OR MRS. SANTA CLAUS.


Any candy thrown to observers along the parade route must be individually wrapped pieces and thrown in a safe manner. Any children participation (either walking or riding) in the parade route must be accompanied by an adult. Any mounted horse riders must have control of animals at all times and proper disposal of waste. No firearms are permitted. The Lancaster county sheriff’s office department will lead the parade and have jurisdiction over all participants and assembled crowd at all times. Waiver of Liability: Parade entry agrees to indemnity and hold the ILCPO, organizers/volunteers harmless from any and all claims made against same, including without limitations: all cost, liabilities, judgments expenses, damages or attorney’s fees arising out of or in connection with any accident connected with the parade. I have and read agree to abide by the rules set forth by the ILCPO. I further agree to notify all participants in
my entry of such rules and waiver. The ILCPO has the right to reject any entry.
